Elgin Public Library

The Library Advisory Board makes suggestions to the City Manager and Council about the function the library plays in the community through policy, procedure and other issues. To volunteer to serve on this or other City of Elgin Boards please complete the application here

Parks and Rec Advisory Board

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board acts in an advisory capacity to review and make recommendations for maintenance, operation, planning, development, enlargement, and use of park facilities and services. The board is also a forum for community members to voice their ideas and lend their support to the vision of parks in the Elgin community. Elgin is committed to increasing recreational opportunities and beautifying as well as improving its citizens' quality of life through parks and open spaces.
